The counter you choose is worth money.

A city is not one rental desk. Faro returns cars from 27 separate pick-up points, London from over a hundred, and the price between them can differ several times over. Tell us the place and your dates, and we will rank every counter by what it costs and how far it is from you.

Most useful if you live there or are driving to the pick-up. If you are flying in, your airport is almost certainly the answer — in every market we have measured, the airport was the cheapest.

An assumption, not a quote: we apply a typical consumption for the car's size and fuel (electric cars are costed in kWh, not litres) and show the figure used on each card. Rentals are "or similar", so the exact car is unknown until the desk. Included-mileage caps are shown too — going over is charged by the supplier at a rate they set, which we cannot see, so it is never in these totals.

One lookup per date-slot, politely paced — a 90-day chain takes about a minute.
